How did we get our start?
I grew up working with plants in my parents’ nursery. By the time we started Greenwood Nursery, I had a long history of planting & caring for plants. We are a 2nd generation family owned business of 44 years, servicing our Clients locally & online.
What makes our Plants unique?
As a business owner, wife & mom, I just don’t have time for extensive gardening. Plants that make it into my garden must be very talented. We rely on tried & true plants to provide color, texture, fragrance & interest in our garden, with minimal upkeep. Cheryl/Steve

It’s the deep dark red leaves of this flowering shrub that makes home gardeners want to plant this flowering shrub as foundation plants or as hedges. Though tolerant of shade, require full sun to produce their vibrant red fall foliage & spectacular fall colors. This easy to grow shrub transplants easily and may be sheared to a more compact size of around 4 feet.

This deciduous plant withstands acidic or alkaline soils and a wide range of temperatures. Can take some drought. Corky ridges on flat, horizontal branches make this an interesting plant in winter.
